Blossom Rural is a Private Practice delivering both Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy services. We complete therapy & assessment via telehealth to provide an accessible service for families living in rural and remote areas. Most of our caseloads are children located on farms or rural stations; therefore, they are hours from the closest Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist!
We are a hard-working, driven, and cheerful team who strives to provide an accessible, professional, and reliable service to rural children and their families – whilst having lots of fun along the way! Speech Pathologist
About this role
This position is a work-from-home role therefore, there is no need to relocate. We would absolutely love for you to have some understanding of the unique challenges that rural families face.
If you are located rurally and are interested in hybrid approach (some telehealth, and some in-person), we are very open to discussing this, and making the role best suit you!

Daily supervision, for as long as you need after commencing at Blossom Rural. Once you are comfortable, you will engage in weekly supervision.

We have formal catch-ups weekly, via ZOOM – including our fortnightly Huddle which has quickly become a favourite!

Our New Graduate/Early Career Program
About our Program
As a New Graduate, you will be a part of our Blossom Rural New Graduate Program. Our program is carefully curated to ensure you have the perfect amount of support, required for YOUR individual needs!
For the first two weeks at Blossom Rural, you will have daily supervision in addition to 3 weekly team catch-ups.
After your first two weeks, if you are ready, we will transition to weekly supervision in addition to team catch-ups
Our Mentoring and Supervision Lead is constantly developing our mentoring experience ensuring we are providing top-notch support and resources for our team.

About your Role
- You will work from the comfort of your home office! We complete all therapy and assessment via teletherapy.
- Your caseload will be children living in rural and remote areas of Australia
- You will plan and provide evidence-based (and fun) sessions via teletherapy, with ongoing support from your mentor and our wider team, as required
- Collaborate with the client's multidisciplinary team (allied health professionals, school teachers, governesses), to ensure a holistic service is provided
- Develop client-centred goals which are achievable and measurable
- Comply with Blossom Rural's policies and procedures to ensure a high quality of record-keeping and documenting/reporting
- Participate in regular professional development to ensure evidence-based practice. Blossom Rural provides a $1000 PD Budget for each team member, annually
- As a full time employee, you will receive a laptop and office equipment + resource kit, for telehealth sessions
A few questions you might have about us!
How do you connect considering you are an online team?
We have three weekly team catch-ups consisting of the following:
Team Meeting: We chat through any updates to our policies and procedures and gain feedback from our team members if an aspect of our service can be improved! We also chat through any clinical questions, that we would like feedback on.
Speechie Team Chat (F/N): Our Speech Pathology team catches up to discuss new resources, research and chat through clinical questions. This allows us to touch base as a team and support one another with any questions.
Internal PD / Multi-D Chat (F/N): One of our team members will create a presentation on a professional development course they have recently completed, their interest area, or a resource they have found.
Winter Warmers/Stretching/General Chit Chat: A 30-minute catch-up meeting every fortnight, solely to provide a break from our screens.
Blossom Rural Huddle: At the end of the week, we have a 30-minute Huddle where we share our wins for the week! Such a wholesome meeting that we all love.

We work online although this does not impact our connectedness – we catch up via ZOOM 3-4 times a week, as a team. We also regularly celebrate team birthdays and life events – which is always so exciting!!
